Dolphins Make Roster Moves

The 91ºÚÁÏ Dolphins announced today that they have placed cornerback Storm Duck on the injured reserve list. The team also signed cornerback Ethan Robinson to the practice squad and placed cornerback Kendall Sheffield on the practice squad/injured list.

Duck has appeared in 16 games with four starts in two seasons with 91ºÚÁÏ (2024-25), recording 34 tackles (22 solo) and five passes defensed. He entered the NFL with 91ºÚÁÏ as an undrafted college free agent in 2024 out of Louisville, where he appeared in 12 games with four starts and recorded 32 tackles (23 solo), 1.0 sack and seven passes defensed in his final collegiate season. Duck transferred from North Carolina, where he played four seasons (2019-22). He earned second-team All-ACC honors in 2022 after posting 46 tackles (36 solo), five interceptions, 12 passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Robinson entered the NFL with 91ºÚÁÏ as an undrafted college free agent in 2025 and spent the offseason program and training camp with the Dolphins. He finished his collegiate career at Minnesota (2024), where he started 13 games and recorded 42 tackles (29 solo), 3.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions, 11 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery, earning him All-Big Ten honorable mention. Prior to Minnesota, he spent three seasons at Bucknell (2021-23), appearing in 31 games with 26 starts and recording 154 tackles (124 solo), 1.0 sack, 6.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions, 25 passes defensed and two forced fumbles.

Sheffield has appeared in 51 career games with 20 starts with Atlanta (2019-21), San Francisco (2023), Tennessee (2023), the New York Jets (2024) and 91ºÚÁÏ (2025). He has totaled 109 tackles (78 solo), six passes defensed and two forced fumbles in his career, along with six special teams tackles (four solo). Sheffield also spent time on the practice squad with Dallas in 2022 and spent part of the offseason program and training camp with 91ºÚÁÏ in 2025. He appeared in 91ºÚÁÏ's Week 7 matchup at Cleveland and in Week 8 at Atlanta. Sheffield entered the NFL as a fourth-round selection (111th overall) by Atlanta in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played the last two seasons of his collegiate career at Ohio State (2017-18), where he appeared in 28 games with 17 starts and recorded 75 tackles (58 solo), two interceptions, 19 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He transferred from Blinn College, in Brenham, Texas, following the 2016 season.
